I had the pleasure of exploring the Greek Isles in June with Celebrity Cruises. We began our holiday in Athens, an amazing city steeped in history and culture. With great shopping, excellent restaurants and incredible museums, this was an exciting start to a glorious Greek discovery. Our cruise visited Mykonos, Santorini, Rhodes, Hydra and Kusadasi, all destinations I’d never been to before making it a great itinerary for a first-time cruiser. Known for its beautiful weather, we had a great time travelling this region in June. It was warm and dry every day, the perfect conditions for an exciting island hopping adventure.

A cruise is a convenient and comfortable way to visit the Greek Islands. Most Greek Isles itineraries include a stop on Türkiye’s west coast, a beautiful destination with incredible beaches and fascinating historical sites. Travelling with my family, I wanted an easy and relaxing way to visit multiple islands in a short time. Our Celebrity cruise was docked and ready for us to disembark every morning, opening a wealth of opportunities to explore. I’d never been on a cruise before, and Celebrity was a great option with fun entertainment, excellent food and drink options; it exceeded my expectations, and we loved every moment. With incredible itineraries for all preferences, the opportunities are endless!

A highlight was the convenience of visiting lesser-known, remote destinations. On our cruise, we visited the Greek Island Hydra. I had never thought to visit this destination before, but it turned out to be my favourite part of the trip! Hydra can only be accessed by boat with no roads for cars; we loved the authenticity of this island and how kind the locals were. Cruising the diverse Greek Islands gave us the opportunity to visit a selection and discover which we would love to return to. After a long day in the heat, it was always a welcome return to the ship for delicious food and cocktails while watching the beautiful Greek sunset.

Enjoy a cocktail in the newly refurbished Constellation Lounge on the top deck. This was a quiet and peaceful spot to unwind after a long day and watch the ship sail away from port!
