By Jacob Cairns

Business Class travel has transformed in recent years as airlines attempt to out-compete each other in the fiercely competitive world of premium travel. Carriers are constantly innovating their Business Class products to deliver ever greater luxuries. Lie-flat beds, once seen as the epitome of Business Class luxury, are now almost a given. Now it’s all about fully private suites with sliding doors, plush bedding, high-end restaurant quality dining and curated wine lists that set the airlines apart.

Read on for our selection of the best Business Class cabins to try out in 2026!

Cathay Pacific Aria Suite

Cathay Pacific debuted its new Aria Suite in early 2025 and it's now being progressively retrofitted on its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. Each Business Class suite features a privacy door and sliding partition creating a private, quiet, and relaxing space. As you would expect, the suite features a lie-flat bed in a 1-2-1 configuration and the middle seats have an adjustable divider. The cabin looks elegant with subtle colours and even some artwork. Dining onboard features meals crafted in partnership with Hong Kong’s leading chefs and restaurants.

The Aria Suite is amongst the most technologically advanced Business Class cabin in the sky with an array of intuitive features. This includes a large, ultra-high-definition IFE screen, Bluetooth connectivity and customisable seat and lighting controls.

TF top tip: Cathay Pacific operates its own highly acclaimed dedicated lounge at Heathrow Terminal 3. Be sure to try the assorted dim sum which are freshly cooked to order. Cathay also operates several lounges at Hong Kong Airport. One of them, known as ‘The Pier’, features a tearoom, noodle bar, a fine dining room with full a la carte menu, private suites for relaxing and stylish shower rooms.

Qatar Airways ‘Qsuite’

Qatar Airways launched its ‘Qsuite’ to widespread acclaim, and it remains one of the most highly regarded Business Class cabins to this day. Now available on Qatar Airways A350’s and B777’s, every suite features a sliding privacy door and direct aisle access, offering the utmost in privacy and comfort. Be assured of a great night’s sleep with comfortable lie flat beds, quilted mattresses and plush duvets. Qatar Airways operates dedicated lounges worldwide, but the massive Al Mourjan lounge in Doha is truly memorable. At 10,000 square meters – 10 times the size of an Olympic swimming pool - the lounge is one of the largest and most lavish in the world.

As well as being named the World’s Best Airline for a record ninth time in the Skytrax 2025 World Airline Awards, Qatar Airways was also awarded the World’s Best Business Class and World’s Best Business Class Lounge!

Most Qatar Airways aircraft are now fitted with Starlink Wi-Fi. This service is entirely complimentary and offers high-speed, uninterrupted internet access throughout the flight.  Passengers can even stream live sports to their personal devices.

TF top tip: If you are travelling together as a couple, book the centre seats which can be combined to become a double bed!

British Airways Club Suite

British Airways redesigned its long-haul Business Class cabin (known as Club World) back in 2019 with the launch of its highly acclaimed ‘Club Suite’. Since then, the airline has rolled out the Club Suites to all of its A350’s and most of its B777 aircraft. Laid out in a spacious 1-2-1 configuration, each suite has sliding doors for enhanced privacy, direct aisle access and a touchscreen to control the seat recline – from upright to fully lie-flat. The bed measures an impressive length of 79 inches when in the fully lie-flat position and is complemented by luxurious bedding and amenity kits designed by the White Company.

Business Class dining on long-haul routes often uses quality British ingredients and look out for the signature afternoon tea which is served on some routes.  British Airways is also gradually rolling out high speed Starlink internet access to their fleet throughout 2026.

TF top tip: If travelling to the USA or Canada, book at least six months ahead and travel mid-week for some of the very cheapest Business Class fares on British Airways.
