Days 1-2 Fly to Auckland

Days 3-4 Auckland
Arrive in Auckland and make your way to your hotel. Perhaps kick off your active adventure and beat the jet lag by testing your nerve bungy jumping off the Auckland Skytower. Explore waterfront restaurants, pretty parks and boutique shopping in this cosmopolitan city.

Days 5-6  Auckland to the Coromandel Peninsula                                
Today, pick up your Mighty Campervan and head to the coastal playground of Coromandel. The next day, kayak around the azure waters and arched caverns of Cathedral Cove.

Day 7 Coromandel Peninsula to Tauranga
Drive south to Tauranga, a picturesque seaside town. Opt to paddle through the glittering glowworm caves of Tauranga or hike to the top of Mount Maunganui for beautiful views across the Bay of Plenty.                            

Days 8-9  Tauranga to Rotorua      
Head to Rotorua, famous for being a geothermal wonderland. Here, you can stroll along boardwalks surrounded by bubbling mud pools and erupting geysers, learn about Maori history at a traditional village, or take an exhilarating luge ride at Skyline Rotorua.

Days 10-11 Rotorua to Tongariro NP
Continue south, passing the vast Lake Taupo en route. Stop off for an exciting boat ride at Huka Falls, beginning with a calm journey on the lake and finishing with a fast ride down the wild Waikato River. At Tongariro National Park, opt to hike one of the most spectacular day hikes in New Zealand; the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. Take in the epic scenery including emerald-hued lakes, rugged peaks and imposing volcanoes.

Day 12 Tongariro NP to Whanganui                
Today, drive to Whanganui, located on the west coast.                            

Days 13-15  Whanganui to Abel Tasman NP          
Drive down to Wellington, the capital of New Zealand. Film lovers will be thrilled by the Weta Workshop, where you can discover more about the production of blockbuster films including The Lord of the Rings and Avatar. After, make your way across the Cook Strait to South Island and the beautiful endless golden beaches of Abel Tasman National Park. Hike, kayak, snorkel or simply soak up the rays in this stunning region.      

Days 16-18  Abel Tasman NP to Wanaka        
The scenery changes dramatically as you head further south. Leave behind the coastal wonderland of Abel Tasman for the glacial landscape of Franz Josef. If you're feeling daring, heli hike up the glacier for an experience like no other. In Wanaka, opt for a thrilling jet boat ride through Mount Aspiring National Park to get the heart rate going.  

Days 19-21  Wanaka to Queenstown                            
Spend a few nights in New Zealand's adventure capital, Queenstown. You'll have the opportunity to sky dive, bungy jump, zip line and funyak through the incredible scenery.

Day 22 Queenstown to Christchurch
Drive north to Christchurch, passing pretty lakes and spectacular mountain ranges.

Days 23-24 Fly home
Drop off your motorhome in time for your flight home.
