Welcome to Sydney! Meet up with your brand new travel family and hit the road and head on a day trip to one of Australia's finest: the majestic Blue Mountains. Head back to Sydney and enjoy a free evening.

Day 2  Sydney
This morning set out to explore this cosmopolitan city. Check out the Opera House, catch the ferry to Watsons Bay to experience the iconic skyline from a different perspective, then venture over to Bondi Beach where you can spend the afternoon lazing about in the sunshine.

Day 3  Sydney
Enjoy a free day today in Sydney and perhaps explore the nearby wine regions or take to the water in a sunset cruise around the harbour.

Day 4  Sydney to Byron Bay
Jump on a plane to Australia’s most easterly point, Byron Bay. Drop the bags at the hostel and hit the beach to try the ultimate Aussie pastime, surfing!

Day 5  Byron Bay
Start your day right with optional yoga on the beach. Roam the myriad of sublime organic cafes laid out throughout the town in search for the best smashed ‘avo’ before spending the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 6  Byron Bay to Noosa
Travel along the scenic coastline to the quaint town of Noosa, nestled on the edge of the Everglades. Stop off at a working farm en route and sample some traditional Australian food and meet the farm animals. On arrival at the Everglades, unpack at your Special Stay Eco Lodge home for the next two nights and relax with a group dinner, surrounded by the chatter and rustling of local birds and kangaroos.

Day 7  Fraser Island
Today, head out on an epic day trip to Fraser Island. Littered with towering sand dunes, crystal clear lakes and dense rainforest, this will surely be a day to remember. Cruise along the world’s longest sand highway and spot wild Dingoes lurking in the bushes nearby, before returning to Noosa.

Day 8  Noosa to Airlie Beach
Hop on a plane and head up to the crystal waters of the Whitsundays. Immerse yourself in this tropical paradise and explore the endless cafes, bars and ocean views.

Day 9  Airlie Beach
Today you'll get to explore one of the worlds most lusted-after holiday destinations with a day trip to the spotless Whitehaven Beach, including snorkelling. This is as close to heaven as you can find on planet earth.

Day 10  Airlie Beach
A free day in Airlie Beach today! This vibrant hub of the Whitsundays is yours to explore. Maybe get out onto the waters with an optional sea kayaking adventure, take to the sky with a Skydive over Australia's most beautiful drop zone or even a relaxing scenic flight over the Whitsunday islands including Whitehaven Beach and Heart Reef.

Day 11  Airlie Beach to Magnetic Island
Board a coach this morning heading for Townsville, then a ferry to the Magnetic Island. This captivating isle has a plethora of coastal walking trails and gum trees teeming with lazy koala bears. You'll have plenty of time to explore, partake in watersports in the bright turquoise waters, or meet some of the local marsupials.

Day 12  Magnetic Island
Today check out some of the walking trails - such as the Forts Walk which offers up stunning views of the Palm Island Group as well as WWII fortifications, and the chance to see koalas in the wild - or enjoy some free time at Horseshoe bay, taking a dip on the azure waters and relaxing on the beach.

Day 13  Magnetic Island to Cairns
Say farewell to your furry koala friends and continue to Cairns: the city where rainforest meets reef. Enjoy an included interactive Bush Food tutorial and dinner at Ochre restaurant. An experienced chef will guide you through a history of Bush Food as you sample a variety of native spices and fruits, followed by a traditional dinner, which features native game.

Day 14  Cairns
Take a day trip to the oldest tropical rainforest in the world: Daintree. With its ancient ferns and vibrant canopies, this place will take your breath away. As well as admiring the lush rainforest, you'll also meet the local Kuku Yalanji people and learn about their rich Aboriginal culture and history. You'll get the chance to view a smoking ceremony and take an art class with an Aboriginal artist, creating a unique souvenir to take home.

Day 15  Cairns
Make the most of your free day here in Cairns and jump on an optional day trip out to Australia's most famous natural wonder, The Great Barrier Reef. Snorkel or dive in the crystal waters and learn all there is to know about this stunning, but vulnerable, natural miracle.

Day 16  Cairns
It’s your last day in Queensland today, but not before you have the chance to escape your comfort zone – bungy jumping anyone?

Day 17  Cairns to Uluru
We’ll start bright and early today with a flight to Uluru which should get us there by mid morning.
Here in Uluru, you’ll have the chance to join an optional activity which will check out the Field of Lights: a spectacular art installation. Afterwards, you’ll enjoy a delicious included dinner with the group.

Day 18  Uluru
What better way to start the day than witnessing the rock bathed in the golden glow of an Australian sunrise? A sacred site for the local aboriginal tribe, this imposing rock is actually a staggering 700 million years old. Head into heart of the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park with a hike to the Walpa Gorge and Valley of the Winds, where boulders bigger than skyscrapers dominate the landscape, and marvel at the lesser known but no less impressive rock formation Kata Tjuta.

Day 19  Uluru
Your first stop is an included Big Barbecue Brekkie at Kings Creek Station, then set off on a guided hike around King’s Canyon. Wonder at the lunar-like landscape and take respite from the sun in the shady space at the bottom of the climb, The Garden of Eden.  It's as idyllic and mythical as it sounds and is home to its own unique ecosystem in this barren landscape. Finish the day off with a glass of bubbles in hand as the sunset casts a glow over the Outback's most picturesque backdrop.

Day 20  Uluru
This morning it's time to say our sad farewells to our Contiki family. Australia, it's been real. We may shed a tear, but we'll never forget what we've experienced together in this spectacular land. And just remember, it's not goodbye, just see you soon.
