Day 1  Athens
Arrive into the historic city of Athens and check into your hotel. Head out to explore the charming streets of the Plaka neighbourhood, filled with small museums and quaint cafés. The incredible Acropolis can be seen from most points of the city, but for the best views, make sure to dine at one of the many rooftop bars of Athens for a truly special start to your holiday.

Day 2  Athens
Today, discover the ancient sites of Athens and perhaps opt for a tour to explore the famed Temple of Athena, Nike and the legendary Parthenon. This afternoon, why not take it easy with a gentle stroll through the National Gardens? Tucked away in the heart of the city, these lush gardens provide tranquillity.

Day 3  Athens
For the ancient Greek enthusiasts, opt for a trip to the UNESCO World Heritage listed archaeological site of Delphi and discover the myths and monuments of ancient Greece. Alternatively, if you choose to stay in the city centre, the best way to discover the heart of Athens is through the delicious cuisine. Wander the streets and sample tasty local bites such as Bougatsa pastries, meaty Souvlaki and Loukoumades, perhaps best described as a small, sweet dumpling. Later, hop on a cable car to the highest spot of the city, Lycabettus Hill for mesmerising panoramas.

Day 4  Athens to Mykonos
Today, board your ferry to the beautiful island of Mykonos. Famed for its traditional buildings, windmills and stunning sunsets, there is plenty to see and do here on one of Greece’s most popular islands. After settling into your hotel, stroll down to the quaint Old Port, perhaps visiting the Agios Nikolaos Church before making your way to Little Venice. Situated on the waterfront, admire Little Venice’s colourful houses hanging over the sea and enjoy this picturesque spot for a tasty bite to eat. Later, walk just a short way to the iconic windmills and soak up the romantic sunsets.

Day 5  Mykonos
This morning, beat the midday crowds and wander the charming streets of Chora (Mykonos Town). Meander along Chora’s iconic Matoyianni street, stepping past whitewashed houses and boutiques. This afternoon, why not head to one of the idyllic beaches that dot the island for some well-deserved sunbathing or perhaps partake in some thrilling watersports.

Day 6  Mykonos
For those who love to explore, there are a plethora of beautiful hiking trails across the island to take in the dramatic views. Alternatively, mix up the scenery with a boat trip to the nearby picturesque island of Delos. If you just wish to relax, today is ideal for unwinding on the beach or snorkelling the crystal clear waters.

Day 7  Mykonos to Santorini
Today, take the ferry to Santorini, famed for its blue-domed churches and dramatic volcanic landscapes. Visit Fira, the capital of Santorini and wander its cobbled streets, browsing the many shops, cafés and restaurants before enjoying an evening watching the sun set over the famous caldera.

Day 8  Santorini
Today, perhaps rise early for a steep walk between Fira and the neighbouring town of Imerovigli for some of the most rewarding views across the island. Imerovigli is sometimes referred to as ‘the balcony to the Aegean’, a fitting name for its position as the highest town in Santorini. In the afternoon, reward yourself with a sunbathe on one of the island’s many black sand beaches and enjoy a refreshing swim in the sea.

Day 9  Santorini
No trip to Santorini is complete without visiting Oia, the island’s most photographed town for its quintessential scenes that seem straight out of a postcard. Admire the blue-domed churches, browse the shops and check out the many beach bars. If you consider yourself more of a history buff, then the ruins of Akrotiri are well worth a visit (often thought of as the Pompeii of Greece), or take a trip to Pyrgos, the best-preserved medieval settlement on the island. Alternatively, if you prefer the idea of more time on the beach, hop on board a boat tour to the famous Red Beach, named for its sheer red cliff face which contrasts beautifully with the blue bay below.

Day 10  Santorini
Enjoy one final morning, before transferring to the airport for your flight home.
