Kenya is a beautiful country with a rich history and diverse culture. There’s so much to do on a holiday in Kenya, from exploring wildlife reserves to soaking up the sun on beautiful beaches. Here’s some reasons to visit Kenya.

Safari

Kenya is known for incredible wildlife and stunning, diverse national parks, and a safari is a must-do activity when visiting this beautiful country. You can witness lions, elephants, zebras, wildebeest, and many other animals in their natural habitat in famous parks such as Masai Mara, Amboseli, and Tsavo.

The Masai Mara is arguably one of the world’s best known wildlife areas, and its neighbouring conservancies offer exceptional game viewing and magnificent landscapes.

Beaches

Kenya also boasts beautiful beaches along the Indian Ocean, such as Mombasa, Diani Beach and Galu Beach. These beaches offer the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Relax on the soft sand, soak up the sun, and take a dip in the crystal-clear waters. With a wide selection of resorts from expansive all inclusive properties with plenty of facilities to more secluded retreats, there’s something to suit everyone.

Culture

Kenya is home to many different ethnic groups, such as the Masai, Kikuyu and Samburu, each with its unique traditions and culture. Immerse yourself in the local culture by visiting villages, interacting with locals, experiencing the vibrant music and dance scene and learning about tribal life and customs.

Food

Kenyan cuisine is a tasty fusion of African, Indian, and European flavours. Be sure to try local dishes such as ugali (a staple made from maize flour), nyama choma (grilled meat), and pilau (spiced rice). Meat eaters shouldn’t miss the Nairobi Carnivore Experience; the ultimate ‘beast of a feast’! Succulent steaks, barbecued chicken, ostrich, crocodile and more, all carved at your table… until you can eat no more!

History

Kenya has a rich history, including the pre-colonial period, the struggle for independence, and the post-colonial era. Learn more about the country's history by visiting historical sites such as Fort Jesus in Mombasa and the Karen Blixen Museum in Nairobi. The Nairobi National Museum is also an educational experience that’s not to be missed.
