72 Hours in Dubai

Dubai is the ultimate luxury escape, with extravagant architecture, beautiful beaches, and miles of gorgeous golden desert. It is also the perfect destination for stopovers, as its location is the middle point for many onward flights to the rest of the world. Alternatively, you could easily spend a long weekend here due to its convenient flight time.

Read on for my guide to how to spend 3 days in Dubai.

Day 1: Downtown Dubai

For shorter trips, we would recommend staying in Downtown Dubai due to its central location with the main attractions in walking distance. Start your day marvelling at the colossal Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, before strolling to the grand Dubai Mall and shopping until you drop! Dubai Mall also features an impressive aquarium and an Olympic sized ice-skating rink; what more could you ask for? On your way out, opt to watch the dancing Dubai Fountain show before heading for dinner at one of the city’s many high-end restaurants and bars.

Day 2: Palm Jumeirah

Today is beach day! Head out to the remarkable man-made island that is Palm Jumeriah and stop at the iconic Atlantis, The Palm where you’ll be spending the day. Why not take an unforgettable helicopter tour over Dubai and get a bird’s eye view of the incredible architecture? Upon landing, release your inner child and enjoy all that the Atlantis Aquaventure waterpark has to offer! Alternatively, grab a sunbed and relax under the Arabian sun.

Day 3: The Desert

The last day calls for a change of scene, so leave the lively city behind and venture to the majestic Arabian Desert. Check in to the Al Maha, A Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa, an exclusive oasis providing total seclusion and unparalleled levels of luxury. Whilst here, take a guided nature walk and look out for wildlife such as an oryx or of course, camels that call this desert home. For those seeking an adrenaline rush, go deep into the desert and enjoy a thrilling 4WD dune drive!
