Welcome to Hanoi! Your adventure begins here. Upon arrival transfer to your hotel in the centre of the capital. A couple of days is plenty of time to explore the highlights of the city and there’s no better way to uncover the hidden gems than in the company of an expert guide. Listen to tales of Vietnam’s turbulent history as you soak up the sights and sounds of the vibrant Old Quarter and marvel at the impressive monuments and temples found throughout the city.
Drive to the coast to set sail on the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Halong Bay. Whether bathed in sunlight or atmospherically cloaked in mist, the journey will be one you won’t forget. Cruise through towering limestone islands before stopping to explore huge cave systems, kayak in peaceful bays and visit secluded beaches. A trip through these enchanting waters is simply magical.
After spending the night on board the boat, sail back to mainland and disembark for your journey to Hanoi, before flying to Danang.
The quaint town of Hoi An is easily accessible from Da Nang, only a 45 minute drive away. Once arrived, soak up this colourful and peaceful town, a firm favourite for many who have travelled Vietnam. Opt to visit the UNESCO World Heritage listed temple complex of My Son, seat of the Champa Kingdom for almost a thousand years.
If you are feeling adventurous, step away from the tourist trail and take to the open road! Hop on a ferry over to one of the islands near Hoi An and cycle along peaceful pathways, past rice fields and over bamboo bridges. Visit hidden handicraft villages to get a real insight into local life. If you just feel like an afternoon by the coast, Hoi An’s An Bang beach is the perfect place to unwind.
Drive over the spectacular Hai Van Pass to charming Hue. The ultimate way to explore the best of Hue is by bike. Experience this marvellous city from a different perspective as you cycle the hidden rural back roads on this captivating day trip. Meander along the northern bank of the Perfume River, passing craft villages, countless shrines and pagodas. Later explore Hue's sprawling Citadel and be amazed by stories of her grand history.
Fly south to Ho Chi Minh City to discover the secrets of this thriving metropolis where old meets new. Take a walking tour of the city to acquaint yourself with the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office and the Saigon Opera House. Transform your history knowledge with a visit to the War Remnants Museum offering over 20,000 artefacts on offer for visitors to see.
After the sun sets, experience the buzzing city nightlife the way locals do, all from the back of a vintage Vespa scooter! Drive through the city streets, seeking out bustling stalls serving authentic Vietnamese dishes. On your second day, opt to venture out of the city to the Cu Chi Tunnels to explore this incredible network of underground passages.
Drive to Can Tho and board your boat for an overnight cruise through the fascinating Mekong Delta. Travel through the heart of the Mekong in comfort aboard a traditional rice barge. Relax and watch riverside life from the deck and explore the river's tributaries over 2 days. With a comfortable night’s sleep and local cuisine served in the charming dining room, this is the perfect way to experience the waterways of the Mekong Delta.
Enjoy breakfast before visiting a floating market by local boat. Transfer to the airport.
Your magnificent journey through Vietnam has come to an end.
