'Dry season' or 'high season' in the Maldives is between December and March when rainfall is at its lowest however November and April are also good months with any signs of showers above the atolls passing quickly.

During the dry season you'll expect to experience up to 10 hours of sunshine a day making visibility for snorkelling and diving excellent. 

May-October is generally more humid with short, heavy down pours which can be dramtic but weather tends to move quickly.
