Discover Costa Rica

Day 1  San José  
Arrive in Costa Rica’s capital city and transfer to your hotel where you’ll meet your fellow travellers this evening.  

Day 2  San José to Tortuguero NP  
Rise early and travel to Tortuguero National Park. Accessible only by boat, Tortuguero’s canals and waterways are beautiful.  

Day 3  Tortuguero NP  
Look out for wildlife on a morning boat trip including caiman, monkeys and iguanas. The afternoon is at leisure where you may relax at the tranquil lodge or take a stroll along the beach.  

Day 4  Tortugeuro NP to Arenal  
Journey by boat and bus to Arenal, passing huge banana and sugar cane plantations. Take the opportunity to visit one of the hot springs created by the geothermal activity.  

Day 5  Arenal  
This morning enjoy a scenic hike in Arenal National Park for incredible views of Lake Arenal. Later, visit the cascading waterfall of La Fortuna before cooling off with a dip in one of the natural pools.  

Days 6-7  Arenal to Monteverde  
Enjoy the views as you travel through the Central Highlands to the magical cloud forest at Monteverde. On day 7, explore the Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve on a guided walk and discover its huge range of flora and fauna.  

Day 8  Monteverde to Manuel Antonio NP  
Descend from the mountains to the balmy coast at Manuel Antonio. There should be time on arrival this afternoon to enjoy an optional activity in this wonderful area.  

Day 9  Manuel Antonio NP  
Manuel Antonio is Costa Rica’s smallest national park but it packs a huge amount into its compact area. Enjoy a guided tour and keep your eyes peeled for wildlife. Spend the afternoon on one of the
beautiful beaches.  

Days 10-11  Manuel Antonio NP to Piedras Blancas
Travel south to Piedras Blancas and the Esquinas Rainforest Nature Reserve. Spend two nights in a rainforest lodge in this unspoilt area, choose to take guided walks or simply relax by the pool.  

Days 12-13  Piedras Blancas to Savegre Cloud Forest  
Your route winds its way back through the mountains to the Savegre Valley, one of Costa Rica’s lesser known cloud forests. Spend time enjoying the views and soaking up the peaceful atmosphere.  

Days 14-15  Savegre Cloud Forest to San José  
Travel back to the capital via the picturesque village of Copey. Enjoy your final evening in San José before your tour ends on the morning of day 15.
