The Grand Canyon & Arizona Holidays
usa
Nothing can prepare you for the seemingly endless sweep of the Grand Canyon. Find a vantage point for sunrise or sunset and watch as the desert rocks change colour by the second.
Arizona offers a taste of the Wild West with ranch stays and the iconic towering rock formations of Monument Valley National Park, transporting you to scenes of classic cowboy movies. For interesting history, visit Canyon de Chelly National Monument - the 3rd largest canyon in the USA and one of the Navajo Nation’s holiest sites with ancient pueblo dwellings dating back to the 11th Century.
Phoenix and close neighbour Scottsdale offer a chic city stay, with great restaurants, inviting pools and pampering spa treatments.
Trailfinders offers a range of holidays to the Grand Canyon and Arizona, and our expert travel consultants are a mine of information about what to do, often with first-hand travel experience. Grand Canyon & Arizona Top Tips From Our Travel Experts
Siobhan Blest
The Grand Canyon is a must for road trips around Western USA. The South Rim is the widest part of the canyon and offers miles of walking trails along with options to head down into the canyon. There's also a free shuttle that runs around the Grand Canyon Village which offers 4 or 5 different routes from the village itself out to the best viewpoints for sunset or sunrise - it's a great way to get around for the less mobile or for those who want to ditch the car.
Roie Mamane
The Grand Canyon is a hikers paradise! There are endless trails in and out of the canyon with scenery that takes your breath away. I could spend weeks exploring all this place has to offer.
