Hong Kong Holidays

To holiday in Hong Kong is to discover one of the most vibrant and energetic cities in Asia, if not the world! With a stunning skyline, fascinating history, superlative shopping and exciting nightlife all bundled up in a compact parcel - Hong Kong makes a perfect stopover.

Ride the impossibly steep funicular railway to the top of Victoria Peak and marvel at one of the world’s great cityscapes. If sitting down is more your style, bag yourself a window seat on the historic Star Ferry which has been carrying passengers between the Island and Kowloon since colonial times.

Take a stroll amongst the forested hills of Lantau Island to the magnificent bronze seated Buddha, Asia’s largest or if that seems a little energetic, let the world’s longest outdoor escalator carry you over half a mile to the cafes of Soho and the Antiques of Hollywood Road.

Once you’ve indulged your eyes it’s time for your stomach. Hong Kong is a gourmand’s paradise, home to Cantonese cuisine and the finest Pacific Rim and International dining gracing the plates of over 9,000 restaurants. Hong Kong has also raised shopping to the level of an art form boasting everything from exclusive boutiques in gleaming malls to vibrant markets full of life and colour.

    Hong Kong Island
Home to one of the world’s most iconic skylines, Hong Kong Island offers a mix of old and new with something for everyone. Explore Lan Kwai Fong’s variety of bars and restaurants or head to Causeway Bay and Central for all your shopping needs. For stunning views, ride the tram to the top of Victoria Peak or take the Star Ferry to Kowloon. The modern Mass Transit Railway is a quick way of getting around and is easy to use. For a slower pace of life, head to Repulse Bay and Stanley Market located within a charming seaside village.
A myriad of lights fire from the tops of the neon lit skyscrapers of Hong Kong during the Symphony of Lights
Known as one of the most densely populated places on the planet, Kowloon has a diverse mix of cultures, shops and restaurants making it a remarkable place to explore. Head to Temple Street Night Market or Jade Market to sample authentic street food or grab a bargain. Tsim Sha Tsui is home to designer shopping and a selection of excellent restaurants. In the evening, head towards Kowloon’s waterfront to see the spectacular skyline dazzle during the unforgettable Symphony of Lights show.
Purple and green manicured shrubs line the steps to the Portuguese inspired ruins of Saint Pauls Cathedral, Macau
Located 40 miles to the west of Hong Kong, Macau exudes a tantalising mix of Mediterranean heritage and Chinese culture. Macau is the place to explore a mix of historic cobbled streets and temples, as well as vast, glitzy Las Vegas style casinos. There are frequent high speed ferries from both Hong Kong Island and Kowloon with a journey time just under an hour. Helicopter transfers are also available, or drive across the incredible engineering wonder that is the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge.
