Seychelles Holidays

A holiday to the Seychelles offers picture perfect beaches with dazzling soft white sand, striking granite boulders, lush forested slopes, colourful underwater life and crystal clear waters. Each paradise island has its own character, unique setting and habitats, providing the ultimate understated luxury getaway and opportunity for relaxed exploration.

The beaches are undeniably amongst the best in the world with the incredible white sand framed by lush rainforest clad hills. Anse Lazio, Anse Georgette and Anse Source D’Argent are among the most cited but with more than 70 impressive white sand beaches on Mahé alone, there is plenty of choice to find your deserted haven.

Wildlife enthusiasts will love the chance to observe sea turtle hatchlings, giant tortoises and the impressive array of bird life endemic to the destination. The surrounding waters are equally spellbinding and harbour a richness and diversity of marine life.

With a charming island vibe throughout, but with each island retaining its own distinct character, the Seychelles is perfect for an island hopping itinerary. Combining a stay on one of the larger islands with a more remote island, gives a true Seychellois experience.

    Seychelles map
    Mahé
    Mahé
The largest island of the Seychelles is home to 90% of the population, the world’s smallest capital, Victoria, as well as the international airport. Victoria’s bustling market is set against a backdrop of lush peaks and is the perfect place to pick up a souvenir and experience local life.
    Praslin
    Praslin
The second largest island in the archipelago was first settled as a hideaway by pirates, and is famed for its exceptional beaches including Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette, which are regularly voted the best in the world. Praslin is also home to Vallée de Mai, the UNESCO World Heritage Site which is the only place in the world where the world’s heaviest nut, the Coco de Mer, grows abundantly in the wild.
    La Digue
    La Digue
This picturesque coral island is a haven for beach lovers, dotted with huge granite boulders which flank pristine sand. Explore this charming island by bicycle to discover stunning hidden coves as well as the spectacular Anse Source d’Argent. Enjoy the relaxed island style living that makes La Digue a hidden gem for travellers.
    Silhouette
    Silhouette
Designated a marine national park, Silhouette is perfect for nature lovers and home to a plethora of rare flora and fauna, as well as the curious wild giant tortoise. Stunning soft white sand beaches surround the luscious interior of green mountainous peaks, dotted with hiking trails. Choose to arrive on the island by helicopter for a truly unforgettable experience.
    Félicité
    Félicité
4km from La Digue, exclusive Félicité is characterised by gorgeous white sand beaches and gigantic granite boulders. For a castaway experience, explore the deep jungle with the Island Conservation Manager or snorkel in the iridescent waters.
    Denis
    Denis
Ideal for a more intimate, Robinson Crusoe style island experience, where you can relax on your own secluded beach, enjoy fantastic snorkelling and diving or even try your hand at deep sea fishing. With a fully working farm that produces some of freshest and tastiest food the Seychelles has to offer, this will be a highlight of any island hopping itinerary.

    Top Tips From Our Experts

    Lauren McLeod

Although it'll be hard to drag yourself away from the stunning white sand beaches (some of the best I've ever experienced in all my travels), put aside an afternoon to explore the colourful capital city of Victoria, its friendly locals and its lively, bustling markets selling everything from fresh fish to local handicrafts.

Make sure you visit La Digue. Just a short ferry ride from Praslin this laidback island has virtually no motorised transport and is best explored by bike and foot. Cycle around to discover hidden beaches, islolated coves and lush jungle. Don't miss the picture perfect Anse Source d’Argent, a stunning white sand beach dotted with granite boulders.

If there's one thing you must do in the Seychelles it is to visit more than one of the islands. For the ultimate Robinson Crusoe experience head to Denis Private Island where you won't find a TV to distract you from the glorious beaches! Swim with turtles from the shore, taste the organic produce grown on their own farm and visit the giant tortoises in their sanctuary. Denis Private Island is barefoot luxury at it's best.
