A wide angle view of the bluest of seas, surrounded by white powdery sand and rugged cliffs and rocks, Western Australia

Western Australia Holidays

Western Australia offers a natural playground of pristine beaches, winelands and outback.

Sun-drenched Perth enjoys more hours of sunshine than any other Australian city and is the perfect start to any holiday to Australia.

South of Perth lies the picturesque Margaret River, Western Australia’s premier wine region and beyond you’ll discover the dazzling white beaches and stunning pink lake at Esperance.

The magnificent Coral Coast stretches north from Perth encompassing dramatic sandstone scenery in Kalbarri National Park, friendly wild dolphins at Monkey Mia and the pristine underwater paradise of Ningaloo Reef Marine Park which offers the chance to swim with manta rays and majestic whale sharks.

For those looking to get well and truly off the beaten track, the vast and wild outback of The Kimberley is an epic wilderness spanning much of Australia's north west. Relax at the beachside town of Broome before heading inland to explore canyons, waterfalls, giant rock formations and expansive cattle stations.

    Perth & Beaches
Perth is a picturesque, laidback city and Australia’s sunniest state capital. With direct flights from the UK and an enviable riverside setting it is the perfect place to start any Australian holiday. Just a 20 minute drive from the city centre you’ll find the pretty beach town of Scarborough or historic Freemantle, great alternatives to basing yourself in the city centre. Head over to Rottnest Island, a short ferry ride from Perth to discover white sand beaches, snorkel spots and the friendly quokka or cruise the Swan River and sample the regions exquisite wines.
    The Coral Coast
The Coral Coast is home to a dazzling array of natural treasures. Explore the eerie Pinnacles Desert and the dramatic sandstone arches of Kalbarri National Park. Friendly wild dolphins are most certainly the stars of the show in Monkey Mia and further up the coast is one of the country's best kept secrets: the pristine Ningaloo Reef Marine Park. A paradise for snorkellers and beach lovers alike, these calm protected waters are home to over 500 species of fish and are one of the best places on the planet to swim with the huge but harmless whale shark.
Margaret River & the South Coast
The stunning and diverse Margaret River region is famed for its abundant wineries and wealth of gourmet restaurants. Stretching from the white beaches of Busselton to the isolated beauty of Cape Leeuwin in the south, there are many charming towns inbetween from which to base yourself. Travel along the scenic south coast and discover magnificent Karri Trees, some as tall as 90 metres high, before stopping in the picturesque town of Albany to learn of the fascinating convict and settler history. Further east lies the quaint seaside town of Esperance where you will share the pristine white sands with the resident kangaroos.
    The Kimberley
Vast and sparsely populated, The Kimberley rewards those who travel here with epic scenery and is home to unique natural phenomena found nowhere else in the country, including magnificent Horizontal Falls, ancient Aboriginal rock art and even dinosaur footprints. Located at the top of Western Australia, the region is bookended by the sweeping golden beaches of Broome in the west and the waterways of Kununurra in the east, with the legendary Gibb River Road winding through its heart; offering the chance to adventure through wild back country, truly off the beaten track.
