France Holidays

A land of romance, charming villages and of course delicious cheese and wine; France is a long standing favourite with so much to explore.

From iconic landmarks and world class art to the glamor and stunning coastal scenery of the French Riviera, France offers a delightful mix of destinations, while the laidback lifestyle serves as the perfect backdrop to unwind and lose yourself in local towns, markets and laneways.

The more dramatic scenery of the Alps and Pyrenees offers up a picture perfect trail to explore by foot or on a bike. From trekking in the Pyrenees and cycling in the Loire valley, to embarking on the classic Tour du Mont Blanc or winding your way through Burgundy stopping at picturesque wineries en route.

Our Brand New Europe brochure is out now featuring over 200 pages of Fly Drives, Self-Guided Rail Holidays, Beach Holidays, Active Adventures and much much more.

Bordeaux is one of my all-time favourite European cities with so much to offer! Explore the city centre by bike, watch the world go by from a quaint side-street café or head out to one of the nearby vineyards for some world-class wine tasting.

If transiting Paris on a rail journey and departing from Gare de Lyon, consider scheduling time for a lovely lunch in the grand and historic Le Train Bleu restaurant at the station. Opened in 1901, it is a magnificent gilded room with intricate carvings and beautiful paintings.

Beautiful Epernay is home to some of the worlds most celebrated Champagne houses - Moet et Chandon and Pol Roger to name just a few. The cellar tours at Moet are very popular so book early - afterwards take a stroll down Avenue de Champagne where many smaller houses open their courtyards for reasonably priced tastings.
