WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT INDONESIA?

The best time to visit Indonesia is generally between April and September when the weather is dry and there is plenty of sunshine. Indonesia enjoys hot temperatures throughout the year but you can expect intermittent showers between November and March which are usually the wettest months.

Time Zone: Indonesia is 8 hours ahead of GMT and does not observe daylight savings

Getting to Indonesia: Indonesia is well served by multiple airlines, with flights into Jakarta and Denpasar amongst others. Alternatively, popular stopover options include Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.

Currency: Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). ATM's are available in towns and many hotels and restaurants accept credit/debit cards

Tipping: Tipping in Indonesia is customary but not mandatory. A tip of around 10% for service staff is usually sufficient

Language: The national language of Indonesia is Indonesian, and English is widely spoken
