Uruguay Holidays

south & central america
Uruguay holidays offer an incredible blend of colonial towns, fine vineyards and golden sand beaches. Relatively small in size, this lesser visited country makes for a fantastic holiday in its own right or a lovely addition to any Argentina itinerary.

Bustling Montevideo is a fascinating mix of the old and the new, while lovely Colonia del Sacramento is laidback with historic buildings and cobbled streets. Punta del Este is perhaps the best known beach destination in Uruguay, where on the weekends locals gather to enjoy the area's chic restaurants and bars.

To reach Uruguay, visitors can either fly into the country’s capital, Montevideo, or they can hop on a ferry. Regular ferries cross the Río de la Plata, connecting Buenos Aires with historic Colonia del Sacramento or Montevideo.

Trailfinders offers a range of Uruguay holidays and our expert travel consultants are a mine of information about what to do here, often with first-hand travel experience. Whether you want to explore on a private touring holiday, a stop off as part of a cruise holiday or as part of a sociable small group tour - they are the perfect people to ask
