Situated in a remote corner of the South Luangwa, this romantic camp combines the isolation and superb game-viewing opportunities of a true bushcamp with a touch of luxury. The property is set on the banks of the shallow, spring-fed Kapamba River, surrounded by some of the park's richest wildlife. After a day exploring on game drives or walking safaris, enjoy a sundowner on the riverside deck or unwind in the plunge pool as the wildlife ambles past. The central bar and dining room is positioned under a huddle of matumi and sausage trees, with a wide deck that stretches out with views of the Kapamba River. Each of the four chalets is spacious and comfortable with indoor showers opening out to the outdoors. Clever wrought-iron shutters are drawn each evening so that you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the African night without worrying about unwanted visitors wandering into your room whilst you sleep. Two of the chalets have tree top salas overlooking the river, a place to game view, read, relax during afternoon siestas, or even sleep out in overnight. This property is unfenced so animals may be seen around the camp and you will be escorted to your chalet at night.

Trailfinders Hotel Classification Guide
Modest accommodation with basic facilities, representing good value where price is the main priority.
Simple, comfortable accommodation and facilities offering good value for the destination.
Good standard of accommodation and/or facilities and overall a higher level of service may be expected.
High international standards of accommodation and facilities where luxury and quality of service are priorities.
Indicates that the property offers a higher than average level of accommodation and facilities when compared to other properties of the same classification.
Unique, often smaller and sometimes historic properties, which offer individual charm and are consequently very popular. They offer the standards of accommodation indicated by their classification but rooms may be smaller than average and not all facilities may be available.
Trailfinders classifications are for your guidance only and do not mirror any international "star rating" system. In each case, the full description of the property should be read and used in conjunction with the classification indicated. A 3★ city hotel, for example, may be more expensive than a 4★ if it is in a prime location. Classifications are unique to a destination and can reflect local or regional variations in quality and service, so a 5★ in a particular area may not be comparable with a 5★ elsewhere.
