This remote and authentic bush camp is walking safari heaven, set deep in the heart of South Luangwa National Park, with no other camps for miles around. Venture out on foot in search of elusive roan antelope, eland and wild dogs and combine safari walks with day and night game drives to explore everything the bush has to offer. A sleepout under the stars can also be arranged (must be pre-booked at additional cost.) The open air lounge is the ideal spot to watch wildlife or laze in a hammock and there’s also a wildlife hide which overlooks a lively oxbow lagoon. Enjoy a pre-dinner gin and tonic in the inviting open air bar before reliving your favourite moments of the day over a delicious Zambian-inspired meal in the wild. The four cosy fan-cooled rooms are nestled under a grove of ancient mahogany trees overlooking a floodplain that attracts hippos and elephants. Rebuilt every year, they’re designed to fully immerse guests in the bush experience. Each has an open air bathroom and a peaceful outdoor seating area for watching the wildlife. This property is unfenced so animals may be seen around the camp and you may be escorted to your tent at night.

Trailfinders Hotel Classification Guide
Modest accommodation with basic facilities, representing good value where price is the main priority.
Simple, comfortable accommodation and facilities offering good value for the destination.
Good standard of accommodation and/or facilities and overall a higher level of service may be expected.
High international standards of accommodation and facilities where luxury and quality of service are priorities.
Indicates that the property offers a higher than average level of accommodation and facilities when compared to other properties of the same classification.
Unique, often smaller and sometimes historic properties, which offer individual charm and are consequently very popular. They offer the standards of accommodation indicated by their classification but rooms may be smaller than average and not all facilities may be available.
Trailfinders classifications are for your guidance only and do not mirror any international "star rating" system. In each case, the full description of the property should be read and used in conjunction with the classification indicated. A 3★ city hotel, for example, may be more expensive than a 4★ if it is in a prime location. Classifications are unique to a destination and can reflect local or regional variations in quality and service, so a 5★ in a particular area may not be comparable with a 5★ elsewhere.
