Victoria Falls River Lodge

This hotel is set in a stunning unfenced setting.

We were lucky to spot elephants that were staying around the camp the while we were there. Elephants even came and drank from our private plunge pool which was an incredible experience!

Arriving to the lodge is special, a cruise along the Zambezi where you may see hippos and elephants before you've even been shown your room!

The tents are well spaced out, offering great privacy, and are beautifully designed in calming muted tones - picture elegant safari chic. The plunge pools at each tent are a fantastic touch - if you want to cool off but don't fancy going back to the main area, you can enjoy a dip on your decking.

The breakfast and the sunset cruise were a highlight as well as the amazing animal viewing from our room including the elephants, baboons, warthogs and birds. We had three game drives, and all the guides were fantastic.

Top tip: Make the most of the lodge's location - do the game drives, do the river cruises - you're already on the river, it can't be any easier!
