The Laguna, A Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Nusa Dua

This was my third stay at the Laguna; I last stayed in 2018 and 2019, and it has had a refurbishment since then.

The rooms are bright and more modern in appearance now. We stayed in a Deluxe Studio Room which was spacious and beautifully decorated with a lovely bathroom and balcony overlooking one of the many lagoon pools. It also had a seating area. Plenty of room despite having a rollaway bed for my daughter.

The resort is large with several lagoon pools dotted around. Plenty of sunbeds around the pools and on the beach so there is never any trouble grabbing one.

The beach is lovely. The waves break about 100 yards out due to a reef creating a lagoon, so the water is nice and calm and safe for kids to swim and snorkel.

The hotel has three bars which have all been refurbished. They all serve food, and the staff are superb and remember your drinks order. Kul Kul Bar is by the beach so has the best atmosphere. DeBale Bar is by reception but is good for a relaxing drink at the end of the night and have live entertainment.

Buffet breakfast is served at Banyubiru and has a huge choice of food including Asian dishes. Again, the staff are quite brilliant.

In fact, the staff are incredible all around the resort, from the gardeners to the bar staff. They all know your name and seek you out at various points of your stay to say hello.

There is a walkway behind the hotel which goes past other hotels or along the beachfront to where restaurants are located. The hotel is also a five minute walk to The Bali Collection which has many shops and restaurants, which means you don’t have to eat at the hotel every day.

This is a little bit of paradise in Nusa Dua and my family's favourite hotel which is why we keep returning.
