Anantara Layan Phuket Resort

This hotel was absolutely stunning. The rooms were very modern and finished to a high standard. The pool was a reasonable size and was in the sun most of the day which was nice.

One of the best things about the room was the bathroom. Which was a great size and even had a Japanese style toilet with a heated seat, and bidet functions. The toiletries provided were of a great standard.

This hotel has heaps of facilities on site. There are several pools, an extensive gym, with boxing ring and tennis courts and a complimentary water sports pavilion. There are also a huge host of activities daily. Approximately 5 different activities each day, typically with a fitness focus, but there are other miscellaneous classes. There are also bikes that you can hire and use inside or outside of the resort.

The beach looks nice from the land; the water is lovely and crystal clear. It is very accessible with a small ramp leading into the water.

There are several bars and restaurants in the hotel. All of a good standard, I particularly enjoyed the restaurant Breeze which served Italian food. The food was very reasonably priced.

This hotel really is suitable for everyone. There is something for everyone to enjoy. There is a real focus on health and wellness which is nice.
