Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket

This hotel had a big grand entrance on arrival with a Thai feel. The staff were great, they checked us in promptly.

The room was lovely; it had a very comfortable king size bed. There were sliding doors to the bathroom with a bath and a powerful shower.

Breakfast was great, it was buffet style with egg station, loads of fruits, pastries, international cuisine with dining in and outside and staff happy to make your coffees for you. It sat on a lovely beach, and the resort had a big pool with plenty of loungers, so it didn’t seem too busy. They do free boat and shuttles around Laguna. Laguna itself feels newish area compared to the likes of Karon/Kata/Patong but is great if you want a relaxing holiday. The resort is close to the Phuket Elephant reserve which was one of our highlights and easily organised through the lovely tour operator at the hotel. It took an easy, flat, 20 mins walk to get to the shops and restaurants around the port of Laguna, and it felt very safe and not too busy. I would happily stay here again.

Top tip: the complimentary boats run every half an hour and is a fun way to see different parts of the Laguna region.
