Discovery Resorts – Wilpena Pound

The only accommodation based within the Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park, this relaxed resort offers the perfect location for exploring one of South Australia’s most iconic destinations. Ideal for families, this resort features a fun pool and a barbecue area, perfect for quality time together. Some cabins also offer a separate twin room for children and a kitchenette. Surrounded by an ancient rock amphitheatre, search for wallabies or hike to Wilpena Station, one of the oldest pastoral settlements in the state. Optional activities organised by the resort such as walking tours can also give you access to a new perspective on the wildlife.

There is one on site restaurant which champions Indigenous and Australian ingredients such as crocodile and kangaroo, but you also have access to the camp kitchen and general store if wanting to prepare your own meals.

Brachina Room: cosy and bright cabin with a sitting area.

Heysen Room: bright cabin with floor to ceiling windows, an indoor and outdoor dining area and room for families.

Edeowie Room: upgrade for a kitchenette featuring sink, microwave and cooktop.

Ikara Safari Tent: secluded and with a small seating area, looking onto the hills with sunset views of the Ikara-Flinders Ranges.
