Trailfinders View
Nestled at the edge of unspoiled Moreton Island and positioned directly on the oceanfront, this family-friendly resort enjoys a scenic location fringed by coastal sand dunes and turquoise waters. Renowned for its diversity of marine life and picture perfect beach, discover a wide variety of activities including the rare opportunity to hand-feed a pod of wild dolphins, who swim up to the beach at sunset. On arrival, visit the resort’s activity centre to plan your stay, perhaps taking to the water on a cruise in search of turtles, sting rays and dugongs, or snorkel to the nearby shipwrecks. You can also join a 4WD tour to explore the island, glide along the gorgeous beach on a Segway, toboggan down the towering sand dunes or even take to the sky for a mesmerising helicopter tour! With a fantastic setting and plenty to see and do for the whole family, Tangalooma shouldn’t be missed.

Tangalooma Island Resort, Moreton Island Expert Review
Emilia Navato
If you’re looking for a fun-filled stay, Tangalooma will not disappoint. The island is brimming with activities, ranging from snorkelling and whale watching tours, to quad biking and helicopter flights. Tangalooma is a large sand island so as you can imagine the beaches are lovely. The restaurants are lively, and the food is very good. I stayed in a Deluxe Room which was spacious and comfortable.

Trailfinders Hotel Classification Guide
Modest accommodation with basic facilities, representing good value where price is the main priority.
Simple, comfortable accommodation and facilities offering good value for the destination.
Good standard of accommodation and/or facilities and overall a higher level of service may be expected.
High international standards of accommodation and facilities where luxury and quality of service are priorities.
Indicates that the property offers a higher than average level of accommodation and facilities when compared to other properties of the same classification.
Unique, often smaller and sometimes historic properties, which offer individual charm and are consequently very popular. They offer the standards of accommodation indicated by their classification but rooms may be smaller than average and not all facilities may be available.
Trailfinders classifications are for your guidance only and do not mirror any international "star rating" system. In each case, the full description of the property should be read and used in conjunction with the classification indicated. A 3★ city hotel, for example, may be more expensive than a 4★ if it is in a prime location. Classifications are unique to a destination and can reflect local or regional variations in quality and service, so a 5★ in a particular area may not be comparable with a 5★ elsewhere.
