Experience warm hospitality in this elegant Victorian heritage property dating back to 1889. Spend a leisurely afternoon in Oamaru’s historic town centre and head down to the waterfront to see the town’s famous little blue penguins waddle up the beach to their nests. Back at the lodge enjoy a gourmet meal, created using fresh local produce grown in the lodge grounds and served in the beautiful grand dining room. On a clear night make use of the free on site astronomical observatory.

Rooms

Victoria Room: located in the main lodge building, it is full of character and features antique oak furnishings along with garden views.

Elizabeth Room: as above, but featuring a large porcelain pedestal bath.

Park Room: upgrade for extra space, it is located in the annex building and features beautiful timber flooring and garden views.

Nest Room: located in the annex building, it features a sunken bedroom, a cosy sitting area and views over the town towards the sea.

Garden Room: generous in space, it features a separate living room and super-king bed, located in the annex building with garden views.
