Fontainebleau Miami Beach

The first thing you notice about Fontainebleau Miami Beach is the beautiful entrance to the hotel, a large complex with a couple of shops and a nightclub on site. The rooms themselves are a good size, but it is worth nothing that there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. There is a coffee shop in the hotel, however.

The hotel has a lovely pool area, which leads straight to the beach. You can also follow a walking track if you want to walk down to South Beach but it's a very long walk.

There are very few shops or restaurants nearby but there is a free trolley train service, so it's very easy to get to shops and restaurants at South Beach. There is also a bus stop outside the hotel which takes you straight to Miami Marina area, where there is a good selection of bars, restaurants and shops. And a bus stop over the road where you can get a bus to the airport.

Top tip: Families with small children may want to request rooms in quieter parts of the hotel away from the nightclub.
