Switzerland’s most iconic rail journey, the Glacier Express, known as Europe’s slowest express train, the Glacier Express gently weaves its way through the stunning Swiss Alps, and the panoramic domed carriages ensure you do not miss the spectacular views! Travel over Oberalp Pass at 2,033m, cross over the Landwasser Viaduct and admire the vast Swiss Alps. The full journey takes 8 hours, so perhaps upgrade to Excellence Class for a sumptuous 5 course meal with wine, VIP check-in and a guaranteed window seat in the deluxe carriage. Travel is also possible in the opposite direction.

At the exclusive Glacier Bar, only available in Excellence Class, enjoy a refreshing beverage while sharing an anecdote or two with your fellow travellers or perhaps learn more about this incredible journey from the knowledgeable staff. Availability in Excellence Class is limited, so we recommend booking early.
First Class - The spacious coaches of First Class provide a comfortable journey as you take in the 5 star views of the Swiss Alps.
