Itinerary

Days 1-2  Boston  
Fly to historic Boston and follow the Freedom Trail. Wander through elegant Beacon Hill and bustling Quincy Market.

Day 3  Boston to Kennebunkport
Pick up your car and head north to Maine. Affluent Kennebunkport is a former fishing village that’s now one of New England’s most popular summer destinations.

Day 4  Kennebunkport to Bar Harbour  
Set off north towards Bar Harbour, passing quaint coastal scenery and charming towns.

Day 5  Acadia NP  
Spend the day visiting the diverse natural landscape of Acadia National Park, which encapsulates the essence and beauty of coastal Maine. Explore its rugged coastal scenery, from Cadillac Mountain to the leafy forest-lined valleys.

Day 6  Bar Harbour to North Conway  
Next stop is the stunning White Mountains. North Conway is a great base for exploring this picturesque region.

Day 7  White Mountains  
Discover pretty gorges with waterfalls or soak up the view from majestic Mount Washington, the tallest mountain in the north east.

Day 8  North Conway to Stowe  
This morning, head west through New England’s pretty foliage to Stowe.

Day 9  Stowe  
Vermont’s scenery is breathtaking, mixing white clapboard villages with the snowcapped Green Mountains. Enjoy Stowe’s hiking trails or sample some of the locally produced cheese, ice cream and cider.

Day 10  Stowe to Manchester  
Vermont’s southern Green Mountains are home to the characterful town of Manchester, located at the foot of Mount Equinox, offering year-round attractions.

Day 11  Manchester to Stockbridge
Travel on to the rolling hills of the Berkshires and to the quaint town of Stockbridge, renowned for its historic main street.

Day 12  The Berkshires  
Explore The Berkshires, a scenic region of rolling hills. Perhaps visit Tanglewood, the summer home to the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Norman Rockwell Museum and take in Stockbridge’s antique shops or botanical gardens.

Day 13  Stockbridge to Mystic
Drive south to Connecticut and the maritime town of Mystic. View the historic tall ships at the Seaport Museum.

Day 14  Mystic to Newport  
Newport, in the state of Rhode Island, is home to opulent 19th Century mansions and scenic coastal pathways.

Day 15  Newport to Cape Cod  
Today, head to the idyllic Cape Cod peninsula where miles of beaches and characterful villages await.

Day 16  Cape Cod  
Spend the day exploring Cape Cod. Perhaps take the ferry to the old whaling island of Martha’s Vineyard or see the sand dunes of the Cape Cod National Seashore.

Days 17-18  Fly home  
Drive back to Boston, stopping en route to visit Plymouth, where the Pilgrims settled in 1620 before dropping off your car in time to catch your flight home.
