Highlights of Kenya (small group)

Day 1  Nairobi                                                                                                                
Upon arrival transfer to your hotel.                                    

Day 2  Nairobi to Shaba NR        
Depart Nairobi early and head north, arriving at your lodge in Shaba National Reserve for a late lunch. For many years this remote reserve was home to Joy Adamson of ‘Born Free’ fame. In the afternoon enjoy a game drive to spot the plentiful elephants and unique species of giraffe and zebra which inhabit the area.                                    

Day 3  Shaba NR                      
Rise early for your morning game drive. Return to the lodge and spend the rest of the morning relaxing by the pool or on the terrace. After a leisurely lunch head out for an afternoon game drive.      

Day 4  Shaba NR to Lake Nakuru NP
Cross the foothills of Mount Kenya en route to Lake Nakuru National Park. The park is famed for its prolific birdlife, black and white rhinos and the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe. Enjoy game viewing as you travel to your lodge. After lunch head out on an afternoon game drive for another opportunity to spot some of the fantastic wildlife.                                                                                                                

Day 5  Lake Nakuru NP to Masai Mara NR          
Leave Lake Nakuru and pass over the Mau Escarpment as you head to the rolling grasslands of the Masai Mara, arriving in time for lunch. Enjoy an afternoon game drive, returning to camp as the sun sets.  

Day 6  Masai Mara NR                      
The Masai Mara National Reserve supports one of the highest concentrations of game in Africa, and today you will go in search of it on morning and afternoon game drives. You can choose to upgrade your morning game drive to a sunrise hot air balloon flight followed by a fantastic breakfast in the bush with sparkling wine.

Day 7  Masai Mara NR to Nairobi        
Depart the Masai Mara and head back to Nairobi.
