Cape Winelands Tour

The Cape Winelands Tour is a great day tour- and I don't usually drink wine! This is a must to do for anyone who has limited time or isn't driving to the winelands. There was just us and one other passenger on the trip, however the maximum is 10 people. Our guide Thabiso was so enthusiastic and informative.

We started with a half hour stop in Stellenbosch which was lovely - some great cafes and lovely independent gift shops. We visited three vineyards throughout the day - each with a tasting of 3-5 wines included! One of the vineyards also gave us a mini tour to the cellar to give us further insight into the wine making process.

The first tasting came with matching cheese which was delicious. I also paid locally for a cheese plate at the last tasting which was massive and relatively inexpensive. At each vineyard there was the opportunity to buy wines but this wasn't pushy at all. We stopped in Franschhoek for lunch where our guide recommended a great little restaurant.
