Ngorongoro & Serengeti Explorer (private)

Day 1  Arusha        
Upon arrival transfer to your hotel.

Day 2  Arusha to Karatu      
Depart for the highlands close to the Ngorongoro Crater, passing picturesque villages and maize, coffee and banana plantations to arrive at your lodge in the Karatu district in time for lunch. The afternoon is at leisure to unwind. Alternatively, make your way to Karatu via Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive with a picnic lunch en route.

Day 3  Ngorongoro Crater      
Drive to the Ngorongoro Crater and descend through the early morning mists into spectacular landscapes for a full day game drive. Formed millions of years ago when a huge volcano collapsed in on itself, the Ngorongoro Crater boasts one of the densest animal populations in East Africa. Return to your lodge in the late afternoon to relax before dinner.

Day 4  Karatu to Serengeti NP      
Head to the Serengeti National Park with game viewing on the way. Arrive at your camp for lunch followed by an afternoon game drive. The varied landscapes of the Serengeti boast a staggering amount of game and plenty of opportunities to spot the Big 5 – elephant, lion, rhino, leopard and buffalo.

Day 5  Serengeti NP      
Spend today exploring the endless plains of the Serengeti on morning and afternoon game drives. Alternatively, you can choose to replace the morning game drive with a sunrise hot air balloon safari, followed by a bush breakfast with sparkling wine – the ultimate way to view wildlife in Africa.

Day 6  Serengeti NP to Arusha      
Fly back to Arusha for lunch before heading to the airport for your onward travel arrangements.
