A Glimpse of Gorillas

Day 1  Entebbe          
Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure.

Day 2  Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable NP          
Take a morning flight to the airstrip near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and enjoy spectacular aerial views over Uganda’s lush landscapes, rolling hills and patchwork countryside. Transfer to your lodge where the rest of the day is at leisure, giving you time to explore the surrounding area or simply relax around an open fire.

Day 3  Bwindi Impenetrable NP          
Transfer to the start of the trail in the national park where you will join your group for a briefing before setting off on the highlight of your trip – an unforgettable trekking experience! As the gorillas move constantly while looking for food, trek duration will vary between groups, but the anticipation of finding these primates and the beauty of the forest make it all worthwhile. Set off into the rainforest with expert rangers in search of a habituated family. After the gorillas have been located, spend an amazing hour observing them, watching them feed, rest and interact with each other in their natural habitat. If the gorillas are relatively close to the start of your trek, opt to hike further into the forest. Be sure to keep an eye out for its other inhabitants including forest elephants, smaller primate species and endemic birds. Return to your lodge in the late afternoon and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 4  Bwindi Impenetrable NP to Entebbe          
After breakfast, fly back to Entebbe. Why not extend your Uganda adventure with a stay in Jinja, the nation’s adventure capital, or continue to neighbouring Kenya or Tanzania for further wildlife activities?
