Between Perth and Adelaide, the train crosses the mighty Nullarbor Plain. Departures from Perth stop at the gold mining town of Kalgoorlie as the train journeys east across the vast treeless plains. Discover the old mining community of Cook, now a ghost town. Between Adelaide and Sydney, the train makes a brief stop at the Blue Mountains which loom large on this varied route across a continent.  
             
If beginning your journey in Sydney, you'll stop at Broken Hill for a morning of Off Train Experiences to discover the mining history and artistic culture of this unique town. You’ll stop once more at Adelaide for an enjoyable trip into the celebrated wine region before your journey's end at Perth.
