Days 1-2  Fly to Sydney  

Days 3-5  Sydney  
Explore Sydney’s varied attractions, from the famous Opera House to bustling Darling Harbour and Barangaroo. Scale the Harbour Bridge with a guide on BridgeClimb and explore some of the city’s historic areas, lesserknown beaches and trendy downtown district that are a hit with the locals.        

Days 6-7  Sydney to the Hunter Valley    
Collect your car and head inland to the beautiful Hunter Valley, where you can sample fine wines and gourmet food in a number of boutique cafés and cellar doors. On the way stop by Lake Macquarie, Australia’s largest coastal saltwater lagoon.

Days 8-9  Hunter Valley to Port Stephens  
Head toward the coast today to Port Stephens, a beautiful bay almost entirely enclosed by native bushland and boasting an array of stunning beaches. If you're feeling energetic, maybe go sandboarding to explore the area’s towering golden dunes or for something a little relaxing embark on a dolphin cruise in Nelson Bay perhaps?                      

Days 10-11  Port Stephens to Port Macquarie      
Drive north to pretty Port Macquarie and stop by the town’s Koala Hospital at feeding time for the chance to get up close to some of the furry residents. Enjoy a stroll along the colourful coastal breakwall and call into the popular waterfront Beach House pub for a local brew.              

Days 12-13  Port Macquarie to Coffs Harbour          
Continue to Coffs Harbour, making the short detour inland for a taste of the hinterland in historic Bowraville. On your second day in Coffs, sample tasty local seafood delicacies at the marina, marvel at panoramic views from the Sealy Lookout or venture further afield to admire the waterfalls in Dorrigo National Park.              

Days 14-16  Coffs Harbour to Byron Bay              
The charming beach town of Byron Bay teems with restaurants, cafés, artisan breweries and fashionable boutiques so spend an afternoon exploring all that it has to offer. Main Beach is a hub of activity so spend an afternoon learning to surf with a guide, perhaps visit the nearby Cape Byron Lighthouse and stretch your legs on a scenic coastal walk.  

Days 17-18  Fly home            
Drive to Brisbane and drop off your car in time for your flight home.
