Itinerary
Arrive into Alice Springs and on day two venture to the West MacDonnell Ranges for a guided walk of Simpsons Gap, known as ‘Rungutjirpa’ by the Arrernte people. Visit Standley Chasm – Angkerle Atwatye – a cultural icon of Central Australia, 100% owned and operated by the Arrernte community. Finally, visit the Alice Springs Desert Park for a guided tour.
Day 3 Alice Springs to Kings Canyon
Venture deep into the outback and enjoy a walk at Ellery Creek and admire the towering walls of Ormiston George before we continue to the Kings Canyon and Watarraka National Park.
Day 4 Kings Canyon
Depart early to explore Kings Canyon and choose between two walks a longer or shorter one or opt to take a 15 minute helicopter flight over Kings Canyon and Watarraka National Park (not included). The afternoon is spent learning about First Nations culture with Karrke Aboriginal Cultural Experience and Tours. In the evening, enjoy sunset drinks and canapes at Light Towers, an immersive sound and light installation by acclaimed artist Bruce Munro.
Day 5 Kings Canyon to Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park
Depart Kings Canyon and enjoy lunch at Curtin Springs, a million-acre cattle station. This evening, you’ll attend the Wintjiri Wiru Sunset Dinner, a cultural storytelling experience. Witness the ancient Mala story retold, listening to a traditional Inma soundtrack and narration in the local Pitjantjatjara language.
Day 6 Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park
Travel to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) and admire the rock formations on a guided walk into Walpa Gorge before taking a guided tour around the base of Uluru and learn about traditional Anangu culture. In the afternoon, tour the Gallery of Central Australia followed by free time to relax. Before sunset, head to an exclusive dune top location, with views of Uluru. Enjoy drinks and canapes as artist Bruce Munro’s global phenomenon Field of Light gently illuminates across an area the size of seven football fields.
Day 7 Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park
Early risers can experience the sun rising over Uluru before breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards, you’ll depart for the Mala Walk to see fine examples of rock art before arriving at Kantju Gorge. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure. This evening, enjoy the unique Sounds of Silence dining experience, beginning with canapes and sparkling wine served on a platform overlooking the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Listen to the didgeridoo and enjoy a premium bush tucker inspired buffet.
Day 8 Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park
After breakfast at the hotel, depart from Ayers Rock Airport or continue the journey to Alice Springs where the tour comes to an end.
