Alaska Spectacular

Days 1-3  Anchorage  
Fly to Anchorage. On arrival collect your car and explore Alaska’s largest city, boasting varied museums and a great choice of eateries.    

Day 4  Anchorage to Talkeetna  
Travel north to historic Talkeetna, an eclectic frontier town.  

Day 5  Talkeetna  
Spend the day enjoying the wealth of outdoor activities on offer, perhaps pre-book a flightseeing trip over stunning Denali Mountain and the nearby glaciers.  

Day 6  Talkeetna to Denali NP  
Continue north to breathtaking Denali National Park, over 6 million acres in size. The afternoon is free to explore the area and drop by the informative Visitor Centre.    

Days 7-8  Denali NP  
Join your Denali Tundra Wilderness Tour, which ventures into the far reaches of the park and offers a chance to spot native Alaskan wildlife.  

Day 9  Denali NP to Fairbanks  
Wind your way north through the heart of the Alaskan countryside to Fairbanks. Enjoy a stroll in Pioneer Park and sample local cuisine in one of the city’s many restaurants.  

Day 10  Fairbanks  
Visit the fantastic University of Alaska Museum or head out of town to explore the beautiful Chena River Recreation Area.    

Day 11  Fairbanks to Delta  
Junction Head south to Delta Junction and continue to your next accommodation overlooking Black Rapids Glacier. Surrounded by wildlife, take part in the outdoor activities on offer or perhaps simply soak up the serene natural beauty.

Day 12  Delta Junction to Chugiak  
Next take a scenic drive to Chugiak, set near the mighty Eklutna Glacier and stunning alpine scenery. This prime location offers guided hiking tours through glacier carved valleys, or you could spend a peaceful afternoon kayaking on the tranquil waters of Eklutna Lake. Keep an eye out for wildlife along the shore, or simply relax and take in the views that make this a true hidden gem of Alaska.  

Days 13-14  Seward  
Continue south to historic Seward, set against a backdrop of mighty mountains and fjords. This is an ideal base from which to enjoy a wildlife cruise or learn about marine animal rehabilitation at the Sea Life Centre. Take in the stunning Kenai Fjords National Park on your included wildlife tour, keeping a look out for orca and humpback whales.  

Days 15-16  Fly home  
Drive back to Anchorage for your onward flight.
