A Winter Family Adventure in Ontario

Day 1  Toronto      
Arrive into Toronto, a city jam-packed with activities and family friendly fun.      

Days 2-3  Toronto  
Start your day with a visit to the CN Tower and take in the outstanding panoramic views across Toronto and over the shimmering Lake Ontario. Later, spend some time to discover all the city’s highlights above ground, then when you’re ready to warm up, explore the underground city of shops, restaurants and pathways. For sports enthusiasts, watch an ice hockey match or if travelling in December, why not visit the Distillery District’s festive markets.      

Day 4  Toronto to Blue Mountain    
Pick up your car and drive north, past snow-speckled farmland.  

Days 5-6  Blue Mountain  
A firm family favourite, this pedestrianised resort has a laidback air and plenty to do. Weekends are filled with festivals, music and fireworks whilst easy ski runs, gondola rides and ice skating will keep you busy.  For a sweet treat, try a ’Beavertail’, a big, flat doughnut topped with your favourite treat!      

Day 7  Blue Mountain to Huntsville    
Travel the scenic roads past snowy forests to your frozen lakeside resort.    

Days 8-9  Huntsville  
Explore using snowshoes, ice skates and cross-country skis, visit the local residents of the on site farm or even book a special dog sledding experience.  

Day 10  Huntsville to Ottawa    
Perhaps visit the beautiful Algonquin Provincial Park before continuing your drive to Canada's dynamic capital city.

Days 11-12  Ottawa    
This walkable city throws itself into winter with gusto! Try sweet treats in the markets, watch an ice sculpting competition or visit in early February for Winterlude Festival. The locals love to skate on the frozen Rideau Canal, so why not join them on the largest naturally frozen skating rink in the world! For indoor fun, Ottawa's excellent museums offer a variety of kids programmes.  

Day 13  Ottawa    
Your winter wonderland holiday comes to an end, head to the airport for your flight home.
