Capital Experience by Rail

Days 1-3  Toronto  
Fly to the friendly and multi-cultural city of Toronto where you will be based for the next three nights. Check out the CN Tower, with its impressive views across the city and shimmering Lake Ontario, and perhaps explore the elegant Yorkville neighbourhood or visit the St Lawrence Market. Join your included group tour to the mighty Niagara Falls to view the thundering falls in all their glory.

Day 4  Toronto to Ottawa  
Board Via Rail’s The Corridor from Toronto Station and start your journey through the rural Ontario countryside heading inland to Canada’s capital city, Ottawa.

Days 5-6  Ottawa  
Ottawa is a compact city, perfect for exploring by foot. See the Rideau Canal, Parliament Hill and discover the ByWard Market area, home to many independent shops and restaurants.

Day 7  Ottawa to Québec City  
Leave the capital behind and continue your rail journey into the province of Québec, crossing the St Lawrence River before reaching charming Québec City.

Days 8-9  Québec City  
Wander the narrow alleys of Old Québec, with its winding cobblestone streets and distinctly European ambiance. Soak up its rich heritage, sample the local cuisine and visit the old Citadel, famed as the only fortified city in North America north of Mexico.

Day 10  Québec City to Montréal  
Today, get back on board the train as you head south to the cultural city of Montréal, known for its blend of old-world charm with modern sophistication.

Days 11-12  Montréal  
The best way to explore this lively city is on foot as you navigate the streets and admire its contrasting and dramatic architecture. Wander the different food markets along the iconic Rue Saint-Paul and through the labyrinthine streets and plazas of Old Montréal. Perhaps also visit Mount Royal Park for sweeping city views.

Days 13-14  Fly home
