Itinerary
Day 1 Calgary
Arrive into Calgary and settle into your hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore at leisure. Perhaps enjoy a stroll through the picturesque Prince’s Island Park, a charming retreat within the city, before browsing the shops and restaurants of Stephen Avenue Walk in the evening.
Day 2 Calgary
Today is free to discover the city at your own pace. Why not visit the fascinating Heritage Park where the Old West is brought to life in this living history village? Here, you can find yourself hopping on board a steam train, riding a horse drawn wagon or trading at a replica trading post. Lastly, a trip to the top of the Calgary Tower is a must, where you will be met with dramatic panoramas over the city and mountains.
Day 3 Calgary to Banff
Take the shuttle to Banff, a resort town located in the heart of stunning Banff National Park. Upon settling into your hotel, head out to explore the town, walking along Banff Avenue for shops, galleries and tasty bites, and perhaps grabbing a local brew.
Day 4 Banff
This morning, rise early for your included tour exploring the highlights of the Rocky Mountains, from the magnificent Yoho Valley to Takakkaw Falls. You will also visit the iconic Lake Louise and Moraine Lake in this day of dramatic natural beauty.
Day 5 Banff
Today is free for you to explore at leisure. Perhaps take to the mountain trails, walking routes such as the accessible Tunnel Mountain hike which boasts rewarding panoramas. Alternatively, why not take the Banff gondola up Sulphur Mountain for more breathtaking views?
Day 6 Banff to Jasper
Make the most of the area’s stunning landscape as you are driven from Banff to Jasper on an inclusive tour. Ride in an ice explorer, step on the glistening Athabasca glacier and visit the Columbia Icefields Skywalk before reaching Jasper in the evening.
Day 7 Jasper
Enjoy a relaxed morning in the alpine town of Jasper before your included afternoon wildlife tour. Your expert guide will help you spot bears, elk, eagles, marmots and more within breathtaking Jasper National Park.
Day 8 Jasper to Prince George
This morning, board your train to begin your scenic journey on ‘The Skeena’. Leaving Jasper, you are soon surrounded by the peaks and forests of Jasper National Park as your train makes its way across the Great Continental Divide, passing the Canadian Rockies’ highest mountain, Mt Robson and following the Fraser River to Prince George where you will stop for the night.
Day 9 Prince George to Prince Rupert
Hop back on board your train which begins with the dramatic scenery of the Rocky Mountain Trench. Look out for wildlife as you travel towards the Coastal Mountains and along the Skeena River to Prince Rupert where your train journey finishes this evening.
Day 10 Prince Rupert
Spend a day at leisure to explore this port city. Meander through Cow Bay to uncover quaint boutiques and local brews before immersing yourself in the region’s history with a visit to one of the museums. Alternatively, embrace the rugged wildlife and visit Khutzeymateen Grizzly Sanctuary where you can observe grizzly bears in the natural environment, or perhaps join a boat tour for a chance to marvel at incredible humpback whales.
Day 11 Prince Rupert to Vancouver
Today, board your flight to Vancouver, a bustling port city that boasts a scenic location between snow-capped mountains and the Pacific Ocean. After settling into your hotel, head out to explore the restaurants of Coal Harbour, the shops along Robson Street and the picturesque walkways of Stanley Park.
Day 12 Vancouver
Enjoy a relaxed morning before joining your included city tour. On the tour visit key highlights of the city outskirts including Stanley Park, the lively markets of Granville Island and the Capilano Suspension Bridge where you can walk high above the forest floor and admire the lush rainforest.
Day 13 Vancouver
Today is at leisure to continue exploring the city sights. Perhaps revisit some of your favourite spots on your city tour, or alternatively, take a day trip out of the city centre to Grouse Mountain to discover its walking trails and outdoor adventures.
Day 14 Vancouver
Make your way to the airport for your onward travels.
