Itinerary

Day 1  St John’s    
With ancient folklore, lively music and colourful streets, North America’s most easterly city, which effortlessly blends small town charm with a sophisticated edge.        

Day 2  St John’s    
Enjoy a morning whale watching tour before an afternoon before exploring at leisure.    

Day 3  St John’s to Trinity    
Pick up your car and drive to pretty Trinity on the Bonavista Peninsula.        

Day 4  Bonavista Peninsula      
Explore the area’s spectacular scenery and quaint towns and go in search of the elusive puffin.        

Day 5  Trinity to Gander        
Drive to friendly Gander via the oceanside wilderness of Terra Nova National Park.  

Day 6  Twillingate        
Venture north from Gander past lush countryside and rugged coastlines towards Twillingate. Perhaps visit Long Point Lighthouse for your first chance to spot whales, dolphins, seabirds and icebergs.        

Day 7  Gander to Corner Brook      
After breakfast drive to the hub of the island’s west coast, Corner Brook.        

Day 8  Corner Brook to St Anthony        
Journey up the Viking Trail as it snakes towards the northern tip of Newfoundland. On arrival to St Anthony, visit L’Anse aux Meadows Viking settlement.    

Day 9  St Anthony to Quirpon Island    
This morning, explore the small town or between June and September, take a guided boat trip into Iceberg Alley in search of whales and icebergs. Later join your boat transfer to Quirpon Island.        

Day 10  Quirpon Island      
Hiking trails, optional boat and the refreshing outdoors are on offer at this simple but delightful lighthouse stay.    

Day 11  Quirpon Island to Rocky Harbour      
Return to the mainland then venture to the geological delight of Gros Morne National Park.        

Days 12-13  Gros Morne NP      
Experience the natural wonders of this epic national park via hiking trails and a scenic Bonne Bay boat tour. Local fauna include moose, caribou and black bear.

Day 14  Rocky Harbour to Clarenville        
Explore charming Clarenville's sights.      

Day 15  Fly home      
Drive to St John’s airport, stopping at scenic Ferryland en route.
