Itinerary
Your luxury journey through Canada begins in vibrant Vancouver at The Fairmont Vancouver, an elegant retreat in the historic Gastown district. This evening, indulge in a dinner of exquisite local specialities, savouring the best of British Columbia’s flavours as you embark on your extraordinary adventure.
Day 2 Vancouver
Take in the best of Vancouver touring downtown, the historic Gastown neighbourhood and along the seawall of Stanley Park to see the First Nations totem poles of Brockton Point. You’re treated to an intimate historical and cultural immersion on a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience at Salmon n' Bannock savouring lunch prepared with traditional ingredients. This afternoon, personalise your day as you embark on a scenic cruise or visit the Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art.
Day 3 Vancouver to Kamloops
Enjoy majestic scenery in an unforgettable setting aboard one of the most famous train journeys in the world, the Rocky Mountaineer GoldLeaf Service. From your glass-domed coach or outdoor viewing platform, take in unobstructed views, be transported by engaging stories and spot wildlife, your journey enhanced by gourmet meals of locally sourced ingredients paired with local wines.
Day 4 Kamloops to Jasper
Ease into another glorious day with a gourmet breakfast in the exclusive dining room of your dome coach. Marvel at the dramatic changes in scenery while you dine on a three-course gourmet lunch before arriving in Jasper. Unwind this evening in your lodge where you’ll be surrounded by nature and abundant wildlife on this 700-acre luxury mountain resort on the shores of pristine Lac Beauvert.
Day 5 Jasper National Park
Journey to Maligne Canyon, the deepest canyon in the park for a walk on several of the scenic bridges crossing bubbling streams. Afterwards, glide across the crystal waters of magical, glacier fed Maligne Lake past mountain peaks to Spirit Island, a remote destination only accessible by boat (seasonal). Or, pedal your way on the scenic trails of UNESCO World Heritage Site Jasper National Park to take in sights only visible from these winding paths. Meet the First Nations Warrior Women on a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience for an illuminating conversation about their Indigenous culture with storytelling, drumming and songs, followed by dinner at the lodge.
Note: Maligne Canyon is currently closed due to safety concerns following significant fire damage from the 2024 Jasper wildfire. Assessments are ongoing, and the canyon will stay closed until further notice.
Day 6 Jasper to Lake Louise
Travel the Icefields Parkway and step aboard an Ice Explorer with a Local Expert onto the gleaming white surface of the Athabasca Glacier. More astounding scenery awaits at Lake Louise. Stroll the lakeshore admiring your surroundings and perhaps a few daring rock climbers tackling the distant peaks. After lunch the afternoon is at your leisure, feast on the local specialities on an included Dine-Around evening at your Château Lake Louise. Then relax in your decadent room.
Day 7 Lake Louise to Banff
Revel in the breathtaking beauty of Moraine Lake, where glacial waters shimmer in vivid turquoise, framed by towering peaks. Take a leisurely stroll along the shore or capture the perfect photograph of this iconic Canadian gem. Later, retreat to the legendary Fairmont Banff Springs, a castle in the mountains offering world-class luxury. Sip a crafted cocktail in an elegant lounge, or explore the historic halls of this grand retreat, the evening is yours to indulge in the unparalleled charm of Banff’s most iconic hotel.
Day 8 Banff
Take the Banff Gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain for a bird’s eye view of the Canadian Rockies or unwind to the calming sounds of rushing waterfalls and bubbling mineral pools at the Willow Stream Mineral Pools and Spa.
Day 9 Banff
After breakfast you are transferred to Calgary International Airport, departing with unforgettable memories of Canada’s majestic Rockies.
