Northern Lights of Yukon

Day 1  Whitehorse        
Upon arrival transfer to your downtown hotel, where you will meet with a Yukon representative for a briefing of what lies ahead. You’re free to explore Whitehorse before departing at 10pm for your first Northern Lights viewing, just a short drive from the city. Watch the spectacle from the base of a warm cabin or walled tent and get some photography tips from your guide, before heading back to your hotel at around 2.30am.            

Day 2  Whitehorse        
This morning take a scenic tour of Whitehorse and learn about its former Gold Rush glory. Visit the famous SS Klondike, one of two stern wheeling ships that hauled precious cargo, fuel and food, as well as passengers along the Yukon River between Whitehorse and Dawson City. This evening, head out for your second Northern Lights viewing opportunity, enjoying the hot drinks, marshmallows and roaring bonfire.      

Day 3  Whitehorse        
Today is free to explore Whitehorse by yourself or simply relax at your hotel. At certain times of the year, it is possible to add additional activities, such as dog sledding and the Yukon Wildlife Preserve to your Northern Lights adventure (bookable and payable in advance). This evening is your final chance to see the shimmering lights.    

Day 4  Whitehorse        
Transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
