Rocky Mountaineer Best of the Rockies Circle Journey

Day 1  Vancouver
Arrive in Vancouver and spend the day exploring.

Day 2  Vancouver to Kamloops
Travel through the Coast and Cascade Mountains towards the interior town of Kamloops on the First Passage to the West Rocky Mountaineer route.

Day 3  Kamloops to Banff
Continue by train to Banff in the heart of the majestic Rockies, passing Kicking Horse Canyon.

Days 4-5  Banff
Enjoy the next 2 days with free time to relax or book your own activities at your leisure. Banff has activities for all, from taking the gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain, relaxing in the Banff hot springs, and exploring the bustling town, to outdoor wildlife adventures. Overnight in Banff.

Days 6-7  Banff to Lake Louise
Today explore Lake Louise on your own. In the afternoon head to Yoho National Park before arriving back in Banff. On day 7 enjoy some free time to relax or book activities at your leisure.

Days 8-9  Lake Louise to Jasper
Experience the Icefields Parkway as you travel by road to Jasper National Park. Break the journey with a ride on an Ice Explorer on the Athabasca Glacier. Enjoy some more free time in the morning of day 9 before a half day afternoon sightseeing tour including the Jasper SkyTram and Pyramid Lake.

Day 10  Jasper to Quesnel
Admire views of the Cariboo Mountains and Moose Lake as you relax on board Rocky Mountaineer, travelling the Rainforest to Gold Rush route.

Day 11  Quesnel to Whistler
Reboard the train and continue to Whistler.

Day 12  Whistler to Vancouver
Experience a breathtaking journey on board Rocky Mountaineer between Whistler and Vancouver, passing spectacular Howe Sound.

Day 13  Vancouver
Your journey ends this morning.
