Trans Canada Rail Adventure

Days 1-2  Toronto  
Fly to Toronto and upon arrival make your way to your hotel. Later, explore diverse neighbourhoods, attractions and restaurants. Perhaps take a trip up the famous CN Tower or stroll along the waterfront of Lake Ontario.

Day 3  Niagara Falls    
Visit the magnificent Niagara Falls, the widest and most powerful waterfall in North America. Marvel at the incredible views and get up-close to the thundering waters on a boat ride.

Days 4-7  Toronto to Jasper  
Board VIA Rail’s The Canadian for a three night rail journey through Canada. Discover ever-changing landscapes as you travel through beautiful Ontario and vast prairie lands towards the towering Rocky Mountains. On the final day of your journey, arrive in the small alpine town of Jasper.

Day 8  Jasper NP    
Have your camera at the ready for a day in Jasper National Park. Search for native wildlife and discover the natural wonders of this beautiful area with your expert guide.

Day 9  Jasper    
Today, soak up the views as you head out on a scenic rafting trip down the Athabasca River. Your guide will navigate you through gentle rapids and provide commentary on the natural history of the area while you sit back and enjoy the ride. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled for bear, moose and other wildlife.

Days 10-11  Jasper to Vancouver    
Return to the train station for the second leg of your VIA Rail journey. Spend the night on board as you journey through stunning scenery, arriving in Vancouver the following morning. Explore this thriving city, situated between soaring mountains and the Pacific Ocean.

Days 12-13  Vancouver to Whistler    
This morning, pick up your car and drive to the mountainous resort of Whistler, a haven for outdoor activities such as hiking, biking and ziplining. The following day, take to the mountains for some fantastic bear viewing opportunities accompanied by an expert guide.

Days 14-15  Whistler to Vancouver    
Leave Whistler behind and take a scenic drive back to Vancouver. Over the next two days, explore the city at your own pace with a hop-on hop-off city bus ticket. Discover trendy areas, embrace the city’s thriving culinary scene, and perhaps visit the Capilano Suspension Bridge.

Days 16-17  Fly home
