Day 1  Fly to Tokyo, Japan

Days 2-3  Tokyo
Soak up the sights and sounds of the world’s most populous metropolis and spend the day discovering the city’s highlights, including Omotesando, a fashion lover’s paradise.

Day 4  Tokyo to Fuji Hakone NP
Journey by train and admire the stunning mountain scenery and lakes on your way to Hakone. For even more impressive views, ride the cable car up Mount Owakudani. Tonight you’ll stay in a ryokan and get a taste of the region with a traditional Japanese dinner.

Day 5  Fuji Hakone NP to Tokyo
Start the day with a refreshing dip in your ryokan’s onsen before returning to Tokyo by train. Perhaps explore the old town, home to the vibrant Senso-ji Temple or visit the famous Meiji Shrine.

Day 6  Cruise embarkation
Transfer to the Port of Yokohama and board Diamond Princess^®.

Day 8  Hakodate
One of Japan’s most important ports, renowned for its fresh seafood. The Motomachi district, with its cobblestone streets lined with western-style houses is particularly delightful.

Day 9  Niigata
This city is traditionally famous for producing the best rice and sake in Japan, highly regarded as a culinary destination.

Day 11  Busan, South Korea
The second largest city in South Korea, Busan is your gateway to a fascinating land of unique culture. With beaches, mountains and temples, Busan is brimming with diversity.

Day 12  Nagasaki, Japan
Located on Japan’s Kyushu Island, Nagasaki offers picturesque scenery and verdant hills surrounded by a deep-water bay. The sobering Nagasaki Peace Park, where a monolith draped with flower garlands marks the exact spot where the atomic bomb exploded on 9th August 1945.

Day 13  Kagoshima
Steeped in history, this city is a geothermal wonderland of geysers and hot springs, with the volcanic island of Sakurajima serving as its iconic landmark.

Day 14  Kochi
Located on the smallest of Japan’s four main islands, Kochi is defined by its pristine natural habitat, tropical climate and for featuring one of the only remaining intact 17th Century castles.

Day 15  Shimizu for Mount Fuji
Enchanting shrines, awe-inspiring scenery and Japan’s most sacred volcano are just some of the amazing sights you may encounter today.

Days 16-17  Disembark in Yokohama for Tokyo and fly home  

Days not listed are spent relaxing at sea.
