- Guide, lunch, helmet, return train journey JR Kyoto Station to JR Shiga Station
Catch the train from Kyoto to JR Shiga Station (approx. 40 mins). Meet your local guide and get fitted for your electric bike. Set off with the group (max 6 people) along the shores of Lake Biwa and cycle through peaceful villages and beautiful rural countryside. Stop and talk to the local farmers - you might even be able to give them a hand with their daily tasks such as planting or harvesting. Back in the saddle, continue on to a local home where you will help your charming host cook a simple, but delicious lunch before returning to the station to catch your train back to Kyoto. Today’s easy ride covers approx.10-12 km (total cycling time approx. 1.5hrs).
Please note a minimum height of 152cm is required for this tour.
