Itinerary
Day 1 Tokyo
Upon arrival you will be welcomed and guided to your hotel.
Day 2 Tokyo
Meet your private guide and hop on the metro for a full day discovering the city’s highlights. Start by visiting the famous Meiji Jingu Shrine, then stroll through the high fashion shopping area of Omotesando, commonly referred to as Tokyo’s Champs Élysées. Wander through nearby Harajuku for a fashion fix before heading to Asakusa, part of the old town, to visit the colourful Senso-ji Temple, Tokyo's oldest temple complete with a five-storied pagoda. In the evening, why not explore the culinary delights of the city, from fine dining in Ginza to quirky snacks in Harajuku.
Day 3 Tokyo to Fuji Hakone NP
Take an early train to the mountain scenery and lakes of this volcanic area famous for its hot springs and the chance, on a clear day, to catch glimpses of Mount Fuji. Ride the cable car up Mount Owakudani or take a boat trip across Lake Ashinoko. Stay overnight in a ryokan and enjoy a traditional kaiseki multi-course dinner.
Day 4 Fuji Hakone NP to Tokyo
Enjoy a dip in your ryokan’s onsen (hot spring bath) before returning to Tokyo.
Day 5 Tokyo
Transfer back to the airport.
