72 Hours in Seoul

Day 1  Seoul
Arrive in Seoul, South Korea’s exciting capital city. Make your way to your hotel where the rest of the day is at leisure to begin exploring. Perhaps visit the neon-lit markets of Myeongdong to try mouthwatering street food or dine at an authentic Korean barbecue at one of the many restaurants in this lively district.

Day 2  Seoul
After breakfast, head out on a fascinating half day city tour. Travelling by public transport, visiting the Seoul City Wall, built more than 600 years ago. Next, visit Ihwa Mural Village, where colourful street art and murals have transformed the network of small alleyways into a trendy area. Head to the impressive Heunginjimun Gate before concluding your tour at Gwangjang Market where you can find delicious street food. In the afternoon, you are free to see more of the city’s sights at your own pace. Visit the spectacular Gyeongbokgung Palace or the winding streets of one of the traditional hanok villages for a taste of Seoul’s rich history.

Day 3  Seoul
Today, explore beyond the city as you embark on a half day tour to the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), a 160-milelong buffer zone which lies on the border between North and South Korea. Delve into the history of the Korean War and visit famous landmarks. Explore the Third Tunnel, a secret passage dug by North Korea for a surprise attack that was discovered in the 1970s, and at the Dora Observatory use binoculars to look across the border. In the afternoon, return to Seoul. Why not visit the N Seoul Tower or Lotte Tower, which both offer fantastic panoramic views of the cityscape from   their observation decks?

Day 4  Seoul
Spend a morning at leisure before heading back to the airport for your onward flight. If you have time perhaps enjoy some last minute shopping, Seoul is famous for its K-beauty and fashion.
