Discover Tirana

Day 1  Tirana    
Arrive in Tirana and transfer to your city centre hotel. Take in the afternoon air with a stroll along the River Lana and stop by the newly renovated Pyramid of Tirana. Originally designed as a museum dedicated to the country’s long time dictator, Enver Hoxha, ascend to the top of this unusual concrete structure for panoramic views of the city.    

Day 2  Tirana    
Today dive into this melting pot of cultures with a wander through Skanderbeg Square. Named after Albania’s national hero and home to the National Historic Museum alongside a statue of Skanderbeg, the square and its surroundings are a great introduction to this bustling city. Visit Bunk’Art, a nuclear bunker turned art gallery and the nearby Et’hem Bey Mosque, known for its colourful frescoes and intricate decorations, before satisfying your appetite with some traditional Albanian dishes, including the beloved tave kosi.    

Day 3  Tirana    
In the morning, venture to the city outskirts to access the Dajti Mountain National Park on the Dajti Ekspres, the longest cable car in the Balkans. There is a plethora of activities available from breathtaking hikes to an adventure park and even a rotating bar on the seventh floor of the Dajti Tower to make the most of the panoramic viewpoint. In the evening get to know the Blloku District. Previously reserved for the ruling party elite, this walkable neighbourhood is populated with designer boutiques, upscale restaurants and trendy bars.      

Day 4  Tirana    
Enjoy your last chance for a leisurely ramble around this eclectic and memorable city with a stop at the Grand Park of Tirana before taking a transfer back to the airport for your flight home.
